The 26th Annual Statewide Housing Conference is just around the corner. Set to take place Oct. 25-26, at the Ramkota RiverCenter in Pierre, the conference will feature plenty of networking opportunities and breakout sessions covering topics ranging from property management and housing policies to development and homeownership.
Here’s what you can expect at this year’s event.
Day One
Kicking off the conference Tuesday, Oct. 25, Gov. Dennis Daugaard will welcome attendees. The opening session will feature keynote speaker Steve Gilliland on learning how to “Enjoy the Ride!™” Attorney General Marty Jackley will offer up the closing session, speaking on the rise of meth. The reception will feature entertainment in the form of a dueling piano show performed by Deuces Wild.
Day Two
Day two on Wednesday, Oct. 26, begins with the awards breakfast, where the winners of the Friend of Housing Elmer Whitepipe Award of Excellence and the Best of the Best Lender Awards will be announced. The remainder of the day features more networking opportunities and sessions on effective grant management, the impact of student loan debt on homeownership and more.
